Valentine's Day Boudoir Sessions // Santa Barbara, CA

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and has me reminiscing about this boudoir session I did with a client before her wedding day last year. It was so fun and empowering and I'm dying to do more of these this year! Boudoir is something I've always done, but never really advertised. Partly because of client privacy (I was given permission to use the images below) and partly because I've been so focused on building my wedding brand. But THIS is the year I expand my focus.

I will be hosting 2 days of Valentine's Day mini sessions; one on Sunday, January 24th from 9am to 2pm (5 slots available) and one on Sunday, January 31st from 9am to 2pm (5 slots available). Each session will be 45 minutes long and will include 20 high-resolution retouched images on a pretty flash drive and a set of 4x6 prints. Come with hair and makeup done or au natural - however you feel sexiest. Bring wardrobe options or nothing at all. Champagne and dirty jokes are on me. Each session costs $150.

Brian and Nicole // Engagement // Santa Barbara, CA

Sometimes a client will come to me with a very strong visual idea of what they want their engagement session or wedding portraits to look like. We will share a pinterest board and talk about concepts and styling - we may even go shopping together for props or clothes. I feel so lucky to have clients like Nicole and Brian with great personal style and creativity, who are willing to experiment and play with ideas. These types of shoots feed my soul and I take full advantage of them when they come around.

Sami and Trevor // Engagement // Santa Barbara, CA

A beach/bluff e-session is one of my favorite combinations. I was thrilled when Sami contacted me after having seen some of my work and wanted to shoot their engagement photos at Douglas Family Preserve and Hendry's Beach. It's like my second home! When the light is too strong you have some tree coverage up on the bluffs and when the sun starts to set you get to go play on the beach. If I ever complain about anything - someone please remind me I live in paradise and have my dream job. Now let's all enjoy Sami and Trevor's engagement collection. And take note of the fedora when you see it. It was the hat Sami was wearing when Trevor proposed.  *collective AWWWW*
